- Shallot — 8 red onions (bawang merah)
- Garlic — 4 cloves garlic
- Turmeric — 15 g fresh turmeric
- Pine Nuts — 6 pcs candlenut
- Coriander Seed — 6 g coriander seeds
- Cumin — 5 g cumin
- Cinnamon — 2 pcs cinnamon
- Cardamom — 3 pcs cardamom
- Bird's Eye Chile — chilli padi to taste
Method
- This sauce needs a blender — the jar is for storing it, not making it.
- Combine measured ingredients and blend until smooth.
- Taste and adjust salt and acid.
