Ingredients

  • Red Pepper3 large red bell peppers, cored/seeded/sliced
  • Sugar1 tsp granulated sugar (4 g)
  • Saltkosher salt (1 tsp used in roasting) (5 ml)
  • Canola Oil1 tsp canola oil (5 ml)
  • Walnuts1 cup / 100 g walnut halves and pieces
  • Aleppo1/4 tsp Aleppo pepper (1.25 ml)
  • Cumin1 tsp ground cumin (5 ml)
  • Lemon Juice1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice (15 ml)
  • Pom Molasses1 1/2 Tbsp pomegranate molasses (22.5 ml)
  • Olive Oil2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (30 ml)

Method

  1. This sauce needs a blender — the jar is for storing it, not making it.
  2. Combine measured ingredients and blend until smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust salt and acid.
