Ratio by volume: Chicken Stock 240 ml, Cider Vinegar 1200 ml, Ketchup 360 ml, Lemon Juice 15 ml

Ingredients

  • Chicken Stock1 cup pork stock (240 ml)
  • Cider Vinegar5 cups (1200 ml)
  • Chile Powder5 Tbsp BBQ rub (40 g)
  • Ketchup1 1/2 cups (360 ml)
  • Lemon Juice1 Tbsp (15 ml)

Method

  1. Pour to the lines in order (bottom → top): Chicken Stock, Cider Vinegar, Ketchup, Lemon Juice.
  2. Add: Chile Powder.
  3. Cap the jar and shake until combined.
  4. Pour into a cold pan and bring to a gentle simmer. The jar stays off the stove — cool leftovers to warm-to-touch before they go back in the glass.
