- Onion1 medium onion (~150 g), finely chopped
- Garlic8–12 large garlic cloves, unpeeled
- Green Bean1 lb 4 oz (500 g) green beans, cut
- Salt½ tsp (3 g)
- Tomato5 medium ripe tomatoes (~625 g) peeled/chopped or 2 (14-oz/400-g) cans drained
Method
- This sauce is cooked on the stove. The jar is for storing it, not making it.
- Cook ingredients gently according to the published technique, adapted here as pantry quantities only.
- Finish off heat; adjust seasoning.
